COE Group Plc (the Company) announces that it has been awarded a major contract to provide the video surveillance solution for lines 1, 3 & 4 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway network.
COE, the AIM quoted developer of advanced video surveillance technologies, announces that it has been awarded a major contract to provide the video surveillance solution for lines 1, 3 & 4 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway network.
The contract which has a revenue value in excess of £1m integrates analogue and IP technologies into a hybrid solution providing a high capacity optically multiplexed analogue backbone for real-time monitoring of all video, automated camera tracking to enhance operator effectiveness and a sophisticated video management system for operating and maintaining the surveillance network.
Delivery of the system, which will be through COE’s local partner Dong Young Information Communication Co. Ltd, is expected to commence within the next 3 months and be completed by December 2010.
Each station will operate between 64 and 128 cameras and with 67 stations across the three lines the COE management system will be responsible for the control of up to 8,000 cameras.
Commenting on the award, COE’s Chief Executive Officer, Ian Jefferson said “This is a significant contract for us and the award demonstrates the strong position that COE holds within the rail sector and that customers value the flexibility and rail-proven nature of the products which can seamlessly deliver analogue, digital and IP video transmission and management within a single platform”.
