Design Overview
COE Limited was involved in the original concept for the Keighley, Bingley and Shipley CCTV schemes. Due to the severe limit in communications infrastructure between the three urban centres, a solution requiring only one fibre core between each centre was chosen. This fibre was leased on an annual basis. The video and data telemetry transmission between the three centres was realised with COE V-class and C-class multi-channel transmission systems. Each of the video images is transmitted back to the local control rooms utilising COE Series 200 multimode video and data transmission equipment. The use of COE Telecommand complemented the transmission solution through its unique video networking capabilities which allowed the managed use of trunk video channels between the three centres on an ‘as required’ basis. This kept costs to a minimum whilst maximising video availability for the operators at each remote site.
